I'm Melissa Gysen of novel photographie...  a wife, mother, and photographer currently residing wherever the Army will send us -- and that happens to be Fort Drum, NY for the time being.  I didn't always have a camera in my hand, but I can't imagine my life without it now.  I believe our stories are being written in the day to day  -- moments that seem mundane, but that I'll look back on and wish I had again. Photography is a wonderful way to tell that story.... a visual story; our family story.   I treasure those photos that help me recall the sweet, simple things that make up our life  -- the real things.    As a photographer, I feel so blessed to be able to create those same keepsakes for others.
